DEEPLY ROOTED IN BALTIMORE HISTORY
Our intimate private dining room has been fully equipped to serve as a traditional boardroom for private meetings. This space is called "Friday Evening" in recognition of Mary Elizabeth Garrett and her group of friends, who were known as "Friday Evening," and their instrumental accomplishments advocating for women’s education. In her later years, Mary Garrett was prominent in the women’s suffrage movement.

Artists and artisans represented in the hotel
Our friends at Paradigm Gallery + Studio have curated an eclectic collection of artwork. You’ll find works from both emerging and established artists in the guest rooms and public spaces. The spectrum includes California-based remix artist, Cassandra Jones, who customized a unique large-scale, collaged wallpaper comprised of hundreds of digital photographs for display in the hotel’s prominent open stairwell. Baltimore Artstar hand painted a floor-to-ceiling mural in the lobby depicting the neighborhood’s historic “Howard’s Woods” region.
