Bay to Breakers: Every May, this iconic 12k race kicks off at the bay by the Embarcadero and cuts across the city, through Golden Gate Park, and ends at Ocean Beach. Crazy costumes are encouraged!
The San Francisco Marathon: Almost 30,000 runners take to the streets in July for an inspiring race that guides them along the waterfront to the majestic Golden Gate Bridge, and past some of the most scenic spots in the city.
The San Francisco Giant Race Half Marathon: This race is a home run with locals who tackle the bayside course every September and enjoy crossing the finish line on the field at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. Little ones can get in on the fun – and pick up a finisher’s medal and celebratory bobblehead of their own – by signing up for the Kids Race and Family Relay.
