As we head into 2017 and the dark winter months, things are heating up on the patio at Hotel Vitale‘s Americano Restaurant in San Francisco, where fabulous food, delightful drinks, impeccable service and stunning city views combine to create an in-demand destination for party planners and happy hour-goers alike. New on the menu this winter is the St. Torino, a sweet dessert aperitif that is a perfect winter warm-up!
A product of the Americano bartending team’s collaborative cocktail brainstorming, the drink was added to the menu in December and we’ve shared the recipe below. Read on for a bit of seasonal sip inspiration!
St. Torino cocktail:
1oz Cardamaro Amaro
1oz Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
1oz St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
Warm a snifter glass with steaming hot water. Stir all ingredients together and serve in the warmed glass.
Best sipped on a heated patio beneath the glow of Ferry Building lights.
In the mood for something a bit more colorful? Americano’s cocktail menu has a few other tricks up its’ sleeve. The Smokin’ Sage, with mezcal, grapefruit, lemon, sage and angostura bitters currently a favorite, as is the King Leopold, featuring Hangar 1 vodka, Leopold Brothers sour apple liqueur and lemon. Cheers!
