More than 425,000 music lovers will flock to the city of New Orleans for the annual Jazz & Heritage Festival, taking place from April 28 – May 7 this year. Expect all the biggest names in jazz like Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, as well as Stevie Wonder, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and Snoop Dogg…
And it doesn’t just stop at the music, because it wouldn’t be New Orleans if they didn’t pull out all the stops on the food scene too: we’re talking boiled crawfish and fried chicken, naturally, but also be on the lookout for alligator pie. Yes, you read that right.
What else is on our agenda? A historical celebration of Cuban culture with artist demonstrations, exhibits, and Cuban music.
So no matter what you’re in it for, this year’s festival is looking fully loaded with music and food as well as cultural events and crafts! And if you are lucky enough to be headed to the Big Easy for this action-packed festival, be sure to visit The Troubadour on Gravier Street for luxe boutique accommodations or to continue the party at their rooftop bar, Monkey Board, or dazzling restaurant, Petit Lion.
