A House Called Tor

If you liked Tom Killion’s most recent book, California’s Wild Edge, you’ll love Tor House, in Carmel—the romantic pile of stone was the longtime home of poet Robinson Jeffers, whose words Killion borrowed to help complement the book’s intricately gorgeous woodblock prints. Every Friday and Saturday, you can tour Tor, much of which Jeffers built himself, in the company of a docent. Reserve ahead online, though.
