It was a mash up between the Chicago Bears and the Portsmouth Spartans.

The 1932 game between the Chicago Bears and Portsmouth Spartans pushed the National Football League into a new era: the NFL playoff era. Before then, whoever won the most games during regular season was crowned champion. End of story. Since the two teams were tied in 1932, a winner couldn’t be declared. And there you have it. The Bears took the crown. For those curious about what happened to the Spartans—the team moved to Detroit and changed its name to the Lions.
