Hey There, Big Guy!

As much as we love Monterey, Northern California doesn’t have a monopoly on whales, and Dana Point is happy to prove it. For the first two weekends in March, the Orange County town celebrates its great gray visitors with a Festival of the Whales, which involves pancake breakfasts, movie nights (Finding Dory!), beach cleanups, eco-carnivals, art workshops, antique-car shows, a “Cardboard Classic Dinghy Dash,” and, of course, whale watching from the water and on shore.
