Come On In—The Neighborhood’s Fine

In the next installment of “San Francisco’s blue-chip galleries dip their toes in the world beyond Union Square,” the Fraenkel Gallery—home to such iconic photographers as Richard Misrach and Nan Goldin—has launched FraenkelLAB, in the Zuni Café stretch of Market Street. First up: John Waters has pulled together a show called Home Improvements: “a celebration,” the filmmaker says, “of the low-tech concept of ‘remodeling.’”
