How long have you been living in New Orleans? I have been living in New Orleans for all 23 years of my life, with the exception of the 4 years spent in Baton Rouge while attending Louisiana State University.

Give us your go-to local insider tip for what to experience in when NOLA. My favorite NOLA memory for as long as I can remember is visiting the French Market with my dad. We made it a tradition to wake up early on Sunday mornings and make a trip to the open market space on North Peters Street a few blocks from Café Du Monde. I always recommend visiting the French Market to guests because it sells locally crafted items such as jewelry, clothing, artwork, etc. There is also a variety of authentic New Orleans cuisine that can be purchased on the “Farmer’s Market” end of the market space. It gives visitors the opportunity to leave with a small piece of what is New Orleans!

Your Friday night is cleared, what’s on the agenda for a night out in the Crescent City? I would stop at Port of Call for a fat cheeseburger that I consider to be the best in the city. Then, I would make my way down the road to Frenchman Street to visit Blue Nile for some great live music!

Last live music performance you watched: when + where? Rebirth Brass Band during the first weekend of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival!

Your Friday night is cleared, what’s on the agenda for a night out in the Crescent City? On my Friday night I’m gonna get a lil’ cold brew with almond milk, play some basketball, maybe take a nap, lift stone weights, and watch either basketball, football, cartoons, or documentaries. Preferably about animals and evolution. Oh, and on a clear Friday night I like getting take out from my favorite restaurant (other than the Petit Lion).
