Lighting Up in San Francisco

The city that glows. The sun may go down early in the winter, but that’s cause for celebration with Illuminate SF, a two-month-long showing of public-art installations scattered throughout neighborhoods. One is the nine-foot-high Metamorphosis, a 1:1,000-scale model of a comet on Green Street and Embarcadero. Of 16 installations, five are temporary, Metamorphosis being one of the temps.
