Joie de Vivre Comes to the Big Easy—Let the Good Times Roll!

A landmark building complete with 184 guest rooms and suites channeling the eclectic, playful spirit of New Orleans, and a sweeping rooftop deck overlooking the city—this is The Troubadour, Joie de Vivre’s first hotel to open in the Big Easy. All within a bead’s toss of the theaters of the surrounding Central Business District, the nightlife of the French Quarter, the boutiques of Magazine Street, the energy of the up-and-coming BioDistrict, the mansions and live oaks of the Garden District, and, of course, those historic streetcars.

A who’s who of local and international talents are contributing to The Troubadour; including bath amenities created by designer and bon vivant Jonathan Adler, an extensive cocktail program masterminded by bartender T.Cole Newton, and three diverse dining spots under the leadership of Chef Phillip Lopez, an innovative New Orleans restaurateur.

On the street level, a casual day-to-night bistro called Petit Lion will serve Lopez’s takes on such favorites as deviled eggs, croques monsieurs, and burgers (think lobster!). The second-floor lobby lounge will offer an array of shareable punch bowls, named for hit songs from the 1960s, along with highlights from the Petit Lion menu. Up on the roof, you’ll find that landscaped deck, the Monkey Board, where you can order street-food inspired dishes like pretzels, fish tacos, fried chicken sandwiches, cocktails by the pitcher, and listen to local musicians play. In fact, music is a theme that runs throughout The Troubadour—a hotel that moves to the rhythm of the Crescent City.
