El Rancho Harpo

Marx Brothers fans might find a home to love in Palm Springs.

The Marx Brothers film, The Story of Mankind, hit the box offices in 1957, signaling the last time the family worked together after nearly 40 years in show biz (though, technically, not all the brothers appeared in it). It was then that Harpo, famous for his fright wig and honking, moved to Rancho Mirage in Palm Springs. Harpo, the harpist, plays in his midcentury Wallace Neff-built home of 9,071 square feet.
