Naturally, the Folger Shakespeare Library would make a fuss about Shakespeare’s 400th birthday. (Which is this year, in case you’re not Facebook friends with him.) This month, the Capitol Hill institution has a two-fer going on: An exhibit called America’s Shakespeare—yes, we broke free from England but, luckily, not from Will—and a staged rethinking of The Merchant of Venice called District Merchants. Enjoy—the party’s just beginning.
