We all owe a lot to the glorious coffee bean: whether you’re java-obsessed, needing your fix every 2 hours on the dot, or more of a mild mocha kind of fan, there’s no denying it: the modern world relies on caffeine. To celebrate International Coffee Day on October 1st (which has now spread out over the entire weekend), we’re paying tribute to one of our favorite places to grab a good old Cup of Joe: Chicago’s beloved Elaine’s Coffee Call tucked in the Hotel Lincoln.
Elaine’s has it all: cozy nooks, a killer PB&J, it’s just steps away from Lincoln Park, Lincoln Park Zoo, Second City Theater, North Avenue Beach, and Wrigley Field–and–it has the best chocolate chip cookies you will ever taste. There we said it, and we stand by it. Now you’ll have to judge for yourself!
