Music and movies go together like rock and roll. The Chicago International Movies & Music Festival—better known as CIMMFest—presents four days’ worth of films about music, and four nights’ worth of live music, everything from jazz to indie rock to hip-hop to folk and blues. Most of the action takes place in Wicker Park and Logan Square, the beat-box heart of Chicago’s sound scene. One can’t-miss: A rare showing of the BBC’s 1975 David Bowie documentary Cracked Actor.
