A Secret Tower

Victoria Beach has a storybook surprise for you.

The entrance to Laguna’s Victoria Beach can be easy to miss (look for a black-rail staircase next to 2713 Victoria Drive). Therein lies its charm. Or part of the charm. The other is a 60-foot storybooklike crumbling tower. Built in the 1920s, La Tour was the brainchild of California senator William Edward Brown, meant to serve as passageway from his mansion to the beach.
