JDV MEMORIESFROM OUR GUESTS“It was October 1989, and our business partner in Miss Pearl's Jam House restaurant at The Phoenix was getting married. A week before the ceremony the big earthquake hit, and the couple had to scramble for a new location and ended up having the wedding in the courtyard of The Phoenix. The morning of the ceremony I came over to the hotel. That's when I stumbled upon JFK Jr., who was staying at the hotel, walking around the courtyard in his boxers, looking to borrow a pair of cuff links. He was the groom's best man and he'd left his at home, so I lent him mine. Just another unusual day at The Phoenix.” – Chip Conley
