Green Meetings
In the spirit of maintaining sustainable business practices, we offer Green Meeting options at many of our hotels.
All Green Meetings include:
- Meeting rooms with recycling/composting bins
- China, glassware, ceramic creamers and sugar dispensers
- Condiments served family style (no individually packaged food items)
- Electronic - rather than printed - handouts
- Double-sided handouts printed on recycled paper with soy-based inks (when necessary)
- Linen tablecloths and napkins
- Water in pitchers and bulk water dispensers rather than bottles
- CFL (compact fluorescent lamp) light bulbs
- Local, organic, humane and sustainably produced foods—no genetically modified food
- Donations of leftover food to local food banks and shelters when possible
- The use of a white board (when possible) rather than a flip chart package
- Useful and sustainable giveaways
- Live plants as centerpieces
- On-line registration (when possible)
Green Meeting Packages
What do our Eco Exec, Fresh from the Market, Simple Green, and Peace, Love and Green programs have in common? The following:
- Meals and snacks made from local, organic ingredients.
- Leather desk blotters, white boards and recycled pens and paper.
- Reusable market bags, memory sticks and recycled paper notebooks.
- Team-building eco-excursions.
