Joie de Vivre created its first hotel in San Francisco, and our company is still based there today. The progressive attitudes and initiatives of our home city and state, not to mention their sizable LGBT community, are key components of our company and how we welcome our guests.

Diversity, acceptance and equality are values Joie de Vivre lives, breathes and works by. They influence our corporate culture, our hotels and the grass roots groups we support. Gay and Lesbian guests and employees are more than just valued members of our community. You'll find LGBT decision-makers in our executive suite, LGBT staff at our front desks and dining rooms, and LGBT newlyweds in our most romantic getaways.

Unlike some hotel companies, Joie de Vivre realizes that all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender travelers are not the same. Our LGBT guests hail from multiple generations and have varied interests. But it’s safe to say Joie de Vivre has a hotel for every LGBT traveler or group, whether they’re chasing Pride parties, meeting space or organic small plates.

Maybe it’s a late night lounge scene you’re after, or a much-needed beach escape in LA or spa weekend in Big Sur. Perhaps it's a power breakfast in Silicon Valley or Sacramento. Whatever your desires, California’s largest collection of boutique hotels is ready with a one-of-a-kind experience that’s attuned to who you are.
