Shorebreak Hotel, a distinctive Joie de Vivre Hotel, meets the alluring California coastline in the original Surf City USA! Shorebreak will be the area’s first lifestyle boutique hotel featuring four star touches, guestrooms and suites with ocean views, outstanding culinary delights and modern furnishings.
Shorebreak Hotel will open its doors beginning early 2009. As the city prepares to celebrate its past 100 years, marking their Centennial, Shorebreak will usher in a new era of luxury and set the stage for the next 100 years. Shorebreak will embrace all of the hallmarks of Joie de Vivre Hospitality's success by appealing to the emotional connection of guests to a hotel. Additionally, all of the elements that are a part of the creation of the hotel will deliver a guest experience that engages consumers traveling for both business and leisure.

Our rustic Mediterranean cuisine with its unique flavors satisfies your palate while the cool, comfortable décor pleases your eyes. We're fanatical about freshness! Small plates with seasonal tastes from 22 Mediterranean countries rotate according to market availability.

A variety of different seating areas exist within Zimzala. Near the entrance, you'll find an intimate
bar and lounge area with high tables for enjoying cocktails and light fare with
friends. An adjacent "living room"
lounge features comfortable soft seating - the perfect place to share stories
of the day's adventures. The main dining room features a glimpse of the active
kitchen. An intimate private dining room
with a fireplace can accommodate up to 24 guests. There are also several patio tables for
those who prefer outdoor dining with a view of downtown and the beach.
Our bar features a modern cocktail selection using only the finest
brands and freshest ingredients. The
wine list combines exceptional values from Mediterranean countries along with
food-friendly California
selections.
