JDV Gives

Joie De Vivre strives to have a positive impact on our community. Each of our hotels is dedicated to donating a minimum of $200 per guest room per year to organizations in their communities. Examples of these donations include gift certificates for hotel stays or dinner for two at one of our restaurants, donating meeting space and food to a nonprofit for fundraising events or meetings, organizing an event to raise money for an organization, donating employee hours for time volunteered, or cash donations.

As an extension of JDV Gives, each hotel participates in the You Can Make a Difference program, launched in April of 2008. The primary objective is to engage our guests by giving them the option to add an additional $1 of their total bill for each night they stay with us. Guests are able to opt out of this program at check-out.

As part of our philanthropic efforts at Hotel Avante, we have partnered with two local organizations; Lucile Packard Children's Hospital's "Hotels with a Heart" Program, providing lodging for financially limited families of patients at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital; and Community Services Agency, which provides vital social services including emergency help, senior services, alpha omega homeless services and holiday sharing programs to people in our local community.
