Washington Inn Hotel Conference Room, Oakland

Oakland, CA 94607
For five years, Brothers on the Rise (BOTR) has empowered Oakland boys and young men of color with the safety, support and skills they need to succeed at school, develop healthy relationships and contribute to peaceful and just communities.
We have served over 650 low-income urban boys and young men of color with counseling; literacy, life skills and leadership; college and career readiness. We have also provided over 400 parents, teachers and youth workers with training and consulting on best practices of raising boys into men. We are now sharing our expertise with schools, nonprofits, and public agencies throughout the Bay Area and beyond, impacting thousands more and helping to build a movement!
Join us to celebrate our anniversary and support this important work. Honor Oakland leaders who embody this mission and are the recipients of our Men of the Year and Sister Ally of the Year Awards.
