What's the first rule of marketing?
Sex Sells, baby.
With that in mind, Wesley Morgan brings you the dirty sounds of the Swamp Noir Sextet.
This is the perfect soundtrack for sin. Junkyard drums, stand up bass, dirty organ, janky guitars, and some gritty trumpet and sax are going to set the perfect mood for doing some very bad things.
Wesley Morgan and the Swamp Noir Sextet play a dark blend of broken down blues and junkyard Americana that evokes comparisons to Tom Waits, Randy Newman, and a messed up carnival version of Stax and Chess records. Their music is filled with imagery that is ragged and raw, with melodies that drop off, bend, and crack. In this world, sexy devils wage war against angels with broken wings.
Wesley Morgan has performed for thousands while opening for Chris Isaak, and has opened for Jack White favorites Pokey LaFarge and the South City. He recorded his debut EP with Grammy Award winning engineer Oz Fritz (Tom Waits, Primus, Bill Laswell).
Wesley and the band will be playing two (2) 90 minute sets this night. There is no better priced entertainment in town.
