Designed by internationally acclaimed light artist Leo Villareal, The Bay Lights is the world’s largest LED light installation. Comprising 25,000 LED energy-efficient lights installed on vertical suspension cables on the western span of the Bay Bridge, The Bay Lights measures 1.8 miles long and more than 500 feet high. This monumental public art will remain on the bridge for two years through March 2015, and organizers anticipate that it will impact an audience of over 50 million people in the Bay Area alone. Commune is a proud corporate sponsor of the exhibit.

- 2 tickets to a one-hour guided cruise to view the iconic Bay Lights and tour San Francisco’s waterfront.
Packages must be booked 3 days in advance. Tours are provided by Tideline, San Francisco’s premier water taxi, and are offered daily, starting at dusk. The boats accommodate a maximum of 6 guests, and offer blankets; premium sounds systems, and indoor and outdoor seating. Vouchers to your cruise will be handed to you upon check in. We encourage our guests to arrange their tour reservations prior to their arrival by calling Tideline directly at 415-339-0196; 24 hours-notice is required.

San Francisco is a wonderful city to explore on a bicycle. From the Mission district to the Golden Gate Bridge; there are plenty of sights to see and many routes which avoid those infamous hills! At the Hotel Rex, we have two Globe bikes available for our guests to borrow. Reserve this package to guarantee a spot on our two bicycles and we’ll throw in a Literary Map of San Francisco created by Paul Madonna as well as a sourdough baguette from the Library Bar (which will look amazing in the bicycle basket).
