This workshop offers an experiential and didactic approach to applying selected aspects of C. G. Jung’s theories to group psychotherapy. A didactic presentation will begin the workshop, followed by a brief demonstration group. The workshop will conclude with a debrief and a large group experience.
Justin B. Hecht, PhD, Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP), is an analyst member of the C. G. Jung Institute of San Francisco, and a member of the clinical faculty of the Department of Psychiatry, UCSF. He has led groups since 1989 in a variety of community, hospital, and academic settings, as well as in his private practice. His particular interest is in the application of Jungian theories to group psychotherapy. He has published on the subject in professional journals.
