The Magic of Spring, a garden affair at the Mansion, will promote the Historic Governor's Mansion, 1524 "H" Street, Sacramento, California 95814, and raise funds for operations and continued restoration on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. The recently transformed grounds of the Mansion will be in full bloom and interior of the building with be decorated by local florists with arrangements to complement the historic nature of the building. A "Treasure Hunt" format will highlight the affair for those desiring a self-guided tour of the gardens and buildings. A program at 4:30 PM, featuring Mansion Memories, will present an historical live documentary of the fifteen families who made the Mansion their personal residence, thirteen of which were Governors of the State of California. The drawing for a raffle for floral arrangements and other items will be held at the conclusion the The Magic of Spring. Light food and refreshment from local establishments will be provided.
