Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings (IRTB) is a four-hour awareness-level course sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), a division of the United States Department of Homeland Security.
This Awareness-level course is designed for responders who require the skills necessary to recognize and report a potential incident involving explosives or who are likely to witness or investigate an event involving the use of explosives or explosive devices. Participants earn 0.4 continuing education units and a certificate of completion.
COURSE GOAL: At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to identify and take appropriate action in the event of a potential or realized weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) incident involving explosives and incendiaries.
AUDIENCE: Any interested LAFD member. As well as members from allied agencies.
COURSE LOCATION AND TIME:
Course will be held at Fire Station 5 : 8900 S Emerson Ave. Los Angeles CA 90045) on September 24, 2013 “C” shift on duty. Students shall attend on an “OFF DUTY” basis and will be compensated with 4 hours of “V” time. 0900hrs – 1300hrs. Regional Classroom Students will be accepted until the class is full.
