While there are some downtown spots to catch high tea, there's nothing more urbane and charming as Lovejoy's Tea Room out in the Mission District. Not as fancy as the Ritz, this traditional British tea is for those who like their tea break without having to put on the white gloves. You won't find a butler or maybe not even matching teacups and the room is a little cluttered, but it is atmospheric beyond belief.
