If you're ready to get off the beaten path and explore a few of San Francisco's famous neighborhoods, let us pair you with a friendly volunteer Golden Gate Greeter for a few hours, absolutely free of charge. Think of it as our way of saying thank you for staying at a Joie de Vivre hotel while visiting San Francisco.
Golden Gate Greeters are proud San Franciscan volunteers who enjoy meeting people from around the world, and sharing some of their favorite things about the city. It's fun, it's free and it's a great way to get to get a different perspective of San Francisco.
This is not a "traditional tour", but a chance for you to meet a local person who loves San Francisco, and who wants to share some favorite aspects about the city with you. Most visits last between 2 to 3 hours. The time you spend with your greeter will involve walking and using public transportation. No cars or vans are used in the program.
