Veeder, The Hess Collection is home to an excellent winery as well as one of the best modern art collections in the West. Winemaker Donald Hess began collecting art in the 1960's and the winery gallery showcases only a quarter of his extensive holdings that are shown in museums worldwide. Come for the art/wine and stay for the wine/art. Either way, the panoramic views alone are worth the trip.
