San Francisco is world-renowned for its culinary achievements and this is where many of those star chefs get their world-class education. You can watch culinary students and chef/instructors putting their expertise to work while you dine in the elegant Carême Room with its 40-foot tall barrel-vaulted ceiling, filtered skylights and Renaissance architecture. On Thursdays and Fridays, the Carême features an elegant, formal "Grand Buffet" at both lunch and dinner. For reservations, call 415-216-4329. For those who want to learn more about cooking, food and wine, the CCA offers Saturday classes for the public. The Weekend Gourmet program features hands-on cooking classes in the Academy's professional kitchens, demonstration classes with tasting, and wine classes. All classes are taught by our professional chef/instructors and provide a unique and memorable experience.
