Named for the wild mustard that blankets the Valley in Spring, this pioneering eatery is always bustling and a great spot to dine among hungry winemakers, locals and out-of-towners. Yes, there are chops, steaks, ribs and fish on the menu, but seared Ahi on sesame crackers, crispy calamari with curried slaw, onion rings with house-made tomato apple ketchup and Chipotle-rubbed quail from the wood-fired oven are sure signs that this is no roadside truckstop. Much of the produce served is grown right on site in the gardens. Save room for the lemon-lime meringue pie.
