Chef Greg Cole's eponymous steak house is rated one of Bay Area's best for good reason. Their prime steaks are aged 21 days for exceptional tenderness and lamb and seafood make for excellent alternatives. There's an extensive cocktail list — some classic, others less so (a Napa Manhattan, anyone?), and the wine list intentionally heavy on premium Napa cabs to heighten pleasure of the flesh. Housed in a restored 1886 building downtown with massive stone walls and a commodious, bi-level interior. Quality and prices are high.
