Rick joined Joie de Vivre in 1995 and in 2005 returned to his native Los Angeles to launch Joie de Vivre’s first southern California property, the Hotel Angeleno.

As vice president of operations in Southern California, Rick oversees Joie de Vivre’s properties in the Los Angeles and Orange County region, as well as leading a regional team of managers and directors in the hotels’ financial services, people services, sales, and revenue management departments. Rick has extensive experience in hotel renovations and repositioning newly renovated hotels, which is well suited for Joie de Vivre’s growth strategy.

Rick earned his Bachelor of Science in Physiology from California State University, Long Beach.
