Jennifer Jordan
Vice President, Learning and Development
Jennifer brings over 18 years experience in the hospitality industry. She has trained in all aspects of the hotel industry and specializes in customer service and guest problem resolution
As the Vice President of Learning and Development, Jennifer is responsible for overseeing all Joie de Vivre’s educational initiatives. She is in charge of JdV University which incorporates all of the training programs for Joie de Vivre’s Hotels, Restaurants, and Spas as well as the specialized training for opening and newly acquired hotels. Jennifer’s greatest skill is her ability to draw from her solid operational expertise to create and design training programs that are both practical as well as inspiring. She serves as a Cultural Ambassador, providing educational programs that are designed to enhance the careers and lives of Joie de Vivre employees.
Jennifer has 18 years of Hospitality experience in hotels, including Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Le Meridien Hotels, Marriott Hotels, as well as Interstate Hotel Company. Ten of those years were spent in Sales and Operations, while the last eight years have been spent in Human Resources and Training and Development. During her career, Jennifer has led many hotel openings and transitions with both Starwood’s Westin and Sheridan Brands as well as for Le Meridien’s Hotels in both the United States and Europe.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation and Administration with an Emphasis in Leisure Studies from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and is currently writing her thesis for a Master’s Degree in Organizational Change and Development as well as Corporate Training from California State University at Long Beach.
