Christian brings a strong strategic pedigree to Joie de Vivre’s executive team from his experience working with some of America’s largest Fortune 500 companies during his tenure at Bain & Company.

Since joining Joie de Vivre in 2004, Christian has been involved in numerous acquisitions/disposals and has been instrumental in Joie de Vivre’s growth and expansion, overseeing the company's growth from a local northern California hotel company to a major regional and state brand and the second largest boutique hotelier in the country. Christian played a pivotal role in sourcing deals and adding hotels to Joie de Vivre's portfolio with combined revenues of more than $240M. In addition to his role in acquisitions and development, Christian's development team oversaw the concept development of more than 15 unique boutique hotel concepts and assisted in managing renovation projects worth more than $100M. Christian also co-founded the Hotel Hero Awards in 2003, a recognition program for line level employees in the San Francisco hotel community with innovative awards such as the "Unsung Hero" and "Beyond the Call of Duty."

During his time in Bain’s London and San Francisco offices, Christian also participated in the due diligence of 15 private equity deals worth in excess of $7.5 billion. Christian earned a Masters in Economics from Edinburgh University in the UK.
