For more than two decades, Joie de Vivre Hospitality has been creating original experiences grounded in local culture.
Joie de Vivre was originally founded in 1987 by Chip Conley, a progressive entrepreneur who liked the idea of starting a boutique hotel company called “Joie de Vivre” because he believed “creating joy of life” for customers and employees was a noble goal. Today, Joie de Vivre Hospitality is a Commune Hotels & Resorts brand. Commune, a new lifestyle hotel group formed in October 2011, manages 45 properties under the distinctive Thompson Hotels and Joie de Vivre Hospitality brands.
Joie de Vivre continues to reinterpret hospitality, with more than 30 hotels that are emblems of playfulness, authenticity, casual spirit and imagination.
