- My favorite local hidden treasure you shouldn't miss:
- Walk to the beach through Tennessee Valley. You often see a bobcat or two.
- My perfect day spent in Marin county:
- start the day with coffee at The Depot in downtown Mill Valley. Once the caffeine kicks in, drive to Marin Headlands, do some hiking and experience the best view of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco there is. Don’t miss the one-lane tunnel as your head to Tiburon via Sausalito. Have a bite to eat on the deck of Sam’s Restaurant. Relax on the grass overlooking Angel Island and San Francisco. Drive to the top of Mount Tam, via a visit to Muir Woods/Muir Beach or Stinson Beach. Enjoy! Come down the mountain and stop at D’Angelo’s Ristorante in downtown Mill Valley to share a pizza and glass of wine. Head to the Acqua Hotel or the Mill valley Inn (whichever you have chosen as your Mill Valley/Joie de Vivre Hotels home for the day). Take a nap. Then spend the evening dining at Frantolo in Tam Valley. You can dress casual or not, whatever your mood is like. Ask to sit in a booth by the curved wall. Be sure you run your hand over the faux finished wall surface, it is like satin, very sensual. I know, strange thing to say about a restaurant wall, but it is truly a work of art by and Italian master craftsman. Oh, don’t forget oto check out the fabulous olive press and purchase some of their house-pressed olive oil. For art lovers, take the time to view the wonderful paintings, most are created by the on of the owners, Christina.
