My perfect day spent in the San Francisco Bay Area:
First thing in the morning, hike the Dipsea Trail in Mill Valley (at one time, I would run it). After the hike, coffee and a scone at the Depot Café and Bookstore in downtown Mill Valley (87 Throckmorton Avenue, 383-2665). In the late morning, we are off to Sausalito for some shopping and to enjoy the views of San Francisco and Alcatraz. Lunch is at Houlihan's in Sausalito (don't laugh, great salads, beer on tap and the best view from a restaurant in Marin. 660 Bridgeway 332-8512). In the afternoon, we take our bikes with us on the ferry from Tiburon to Angel Island. Spend the afternoon exploring Angel Island. We have dinner at D'Angelo's in Mill Valley (the best Italian restaurant in Marin. 22 Miller Avenue 388-2000). Lattes and dessert at the Depot (87 Throckmorton Avenue, Mill Valley, 383-2665) and then early to bed!
