My favorite local hidden treasure you shouldn't miss:
Explore San Francisco's neighborhoods – Cow Hollow/Pacific Heights, Haight, Castro and the Fillmore are just a few.
My perfect day spent in the San Francisco Bay Area:
If it's a Saturday start off at the Farmer's Market at the Ferry Plaza and have a bite to eat there for breakfast/lunch. Take a classic street car out to the Castro and stroll the 'stro taking in the people and the vibe of this unique neighborhood. Take the bus or taxi up the hill and get off at Haight. Walk up Haight and explore the shops and experience the 60's feel that still remains there. Walk down Haight to Golden Gate Park. Explore the park and then take a taxi or bus downtown. Explore the shopping on Union Square and then finish off the day at the up-scale food emporium at the bottom of the new Westfield shopping center. After dinner, go to a movie at the Center or maybe see a play at one of the live theaters nearby.
