Hilly San Francisco
What do I do to make a buck?:
Share my knowledge, energy, and good humor
5 things I love about the San Francisco Bay Area:
Foggy mornings, hills, free-spirited people, the museums, Clement Street, North Beach at night, the culture on every corner including the art exhibits at SFO, our Autumnal summers, film and jazz festivals, Union Square shopping (especially fond of Tiffany's), old churches, low magnitude earthquakes, micro-climates...the list could go on...
My favorite local hidden treasure you shouldn't miss:
Moon Viewing Garden in Golden Gate Park
My perfect day spent in the San Francisco Bay Area:
Start the morning by grabbing a cup of coffee and a fresh sourdough roll and heading to the Embarcadero to watch The City wake up, then walk over to Artfibers (124 Sutter Street, 956-6319) to add to my yarn stash and take a knitting class or head over to Washington Square Park (Stockton and Columbus Streets) to read a book and bask in the sunshine (or fog). In the afternoon, i'd catch a film at the Castro Theater (429 Castro Street,621-6120), a massage at Kabuki Springs & Spa, (1750 Geary Boulevard, 922-6000) an exhibit at the SF MOMA, (151 Third, 357-4000) or take a walk down the Filbert Steps. In the evening, we'd watch the sunset at Land's End, have a nice, hearty Italian dinner at Cafe Tiramisu (28 Belden Place, 421-7044), have cocktails with friends or a lively discussion over a bottle of red wine at Cafe Bastille (22 Belden Place,986-5673), live music, a club with a great DJ, a play at A.C.T. or another movie.
